Why We're Lean and Green

Lean and Green

In 2006, Old Dominion took our business to the next generation by introducing the concept of "Lean Manufacturing" to our business model.  ParaKaizen, meaning "continuous improvement," helps us create a work environment that lends itself to more efficiency, less waste, and faster repairs while still maintaining our quality. Less than 5% of collision repair facilities nationwide participate in this type of production model.

We have also initiated our own standards for sustainability and becoming "Green".  We pride ourselves on using the latest technology and systems to recycle, reuse and reduce our footprint on our environment.  We are proud of our efforts and continually strive to improve our efficient use of the resources necessary to provide a quality repair, in a timely fashion with impeccable customer service.

EWEB GreenPower.  Old Dominion is happy to be a Business Partner of the EWEB GreenPower Program, a voluntary program that supports renewable energy generation from Eugene Water & Electric Board projects. Investing in EWEB Greenpower will reduce the Northwest's growing dependence on fossil fuels and add to EWEB's already diverse mix of renewable energy resources.

Pollution Prevention Coalition certified EcoBiz. The Ecological Business Program recognizes businesses that reach the highest standards in minimizing their environmental impact. The goal of the program is to prevent and minimize pollution generated by small businesses in the Lane County area. This is one of the first multimedia (air, water, solid waste) certification programs in the nation.
